Under the auspices of Development Partnership Administration, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, NTPC is conducting a Programme on “Microgrids and Renewables” from 8th to 12th January 2024 for Power Sector Professionals from Indo Pacific Nations.
This Programme is being conducted as part of the Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) and marks the onset of last leg of the four such programs. The program was formally inaugurated on 8th January 2024 by Mrs. Sangeeta Kaushik, ED (Business Development and Consultancy), NTPC, in presence of Dr J. S. Chandok, General Manager (IBD), NTPC. Other Senior executives from NTPC and NSB including Ms. Rachana Bhal, General manager (PMI), NTPC, and Shri. A. P. Dash Ex Dean, NSB, also attended the inaugural session.
The course aims to enable the participants to apply enhanced knowledge and skills in implementing renewable energy (RE) projects and Microgrids for addressing the dual challenges of climate change and reliable energy access. As many as Twenty (20) Power Sector Professionals from Cambodia, Costa Rica, Maldives, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Malaysia and Tajikistan are participating in the programme.
